Bedroom Inspiration: Autumn Lust

I might sound a bit annoying but I have to repeat it over again: the change of season gets me all excited! Even when we bid summer goodbye, I am in a happy state of mind. I am looking forward to the chilly nights with crisp air, to my favorite extra blanket to cuddle up, to rearranging my home decoration and set a mellow colour tone in my abode.

This bedroom above has caught my eye today. Even though I've always declared the colour brown as my least favorite unless we speak of coffee or chocolate (to drink and eat of course), I sort of feel the need to revise my decision. Brown hues can be so stylish, serene and comfy like in this pic. Combined with soft grey and black, this looks more than inviting. And I adore the moon prints - I have a similar one at home that I found here.

Are you getting ready for autumn?

Ideas For A Happy Weekend

It is weekend, finally! After a busy week at work, I couldn't help but share this amazing quote with you, folks. I think by doing this I am reminding myself of it, too: Be kind to yourself! Maybe we really need to be kind to ourselves first to spread kindness and happiness to others as well. How often do we catch ourselves being our own slave driver, questioning our decisions, rushing ourselves from task to task, cutting us short of quality time to relax and do what we love to do. Is this all about modern life? I don't think so. I don't accept! So let's take this weekend to step on the break and be truly kind to ourselves. Find your way to slow down, to calm your senses, to focus on your body and soul. Ok, I am getting now too esoteric - but you get the point. I will obey to this quote and stay in bed. As long as I want to. And remember: no feelings of guilt. Be kind to yourself!

Ideas For A Happy Weekend

During the last two weeks, the weather here in Munich has been rather fickle. Overcast, windy, partly sunny, grey, cold, mild - in a nutshell: not really wintery. Now this weekend has brought a serious change. A noticeable drop in temperature and fresh snow have returned the feeling, that is appropriate for a December in these latitudes. For a change, I decided to leave the city this weekend and head over to Austria to visit my family and spend some good times with them. It'll be a rather relaxing weekend. And speaking of a relaxing and cosy evening at home, this is what I have in mind...
