I went to college in Maryland, but always made it a point to head to D.C. to see the gorgeous cherry blossoms this time of year! How I miss early Spring! {it's non-existent here in Boston}

SPRING IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER...!! or so it had better be, I need a dose of sunny warm weather like never before!

Ideas For A Happy Weekend

Some of you who are regular readers will know that I love to stress the importance of relaxing and spending quality time with people you love. And that is exactly what I am about to do. I am off to Austria to my family's home to spend some time with them and old friends. And I will make a stop over at the local flower market. I don't know about the place you live in, but here temperatures have gone up these days and believe me or not, I can smell spring! It must be around the corner. And there is nothing more springlike for me than going to the flower market, absorbing the charming scents, enjoying the bright colours and picking that bunch of spring for your home. With this in mind, I'm wishing you a happy, springlike weekend!

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring!!

I don't have time for much of a post today, as I have a baby in one hand and am typing with the other! I'm just so excited that there are warmer, sunny days ahead. Aren't these flowers gorgeous? What great color palette inspiration.

Currently loving...

my new "hands free" baby sling, {thank you to my dear friend Lauren C.}, it is the only thing allowing me to steal a few minutes to scan the web and post my blog these days {I'm still officially on maternity leave}..here are a few more items on my favorites list this week!

Ines Fressange's style sense {I've actually admired the fashion model's layered style savvy since seeing her home in the final issue Domino} these images are a great motivator for me to whip myself back into shape.{although I will never look this tiny, I like food too much!} images: The Selby

My chic new diaper bag, from Stella McCartney's line for Adidas. {it's not actually a diaper bag, I think that's why I like it sooo much!}

Today's post on Fric and Frac. Every image lifted my spirits. I keep reminding myself that Spring is around the corner!

{i would switch out the bulbs for a round style}

All the goodies on Fyndes...these are a few of the items that would work at my house right now. Style Court initially brought my attention to this fabulous site full of vintage {some are actually affordable} finds...

Hope you are having a great day!

I drink tea daily, and just finished up a tea that came in a tin...I was going to recycle it and use the container for "generic" tea bags..then I happened upon this photo. I like this idea much better. Have a wonderful weekend.

Feeling Inspired - Spring Florals Trend..

It's been very, very chilly in Boston {all over a good deal of the U.S. actually}. I like to cozy down by a fire and fly down a slope now and then, but I'm really a warm weather girl at heart! I don't have any travel plans this winter so I often day dream about the sunny + warm Spring days ahead. I'm currently loving that flowers are popping up everywhere for Spring 2010!
Happy Tuesday!

Beautiful Blossoms

{I know the Emerson Made flowers have been circulating for a while, but these handmade buds are available through another designer: Chelle Paperie.
I'll save the festive post I'm planning for later this week. I've been pulling together my possible "girl" nursery ideas lately, so flowers have been on my mind. Here's a post on recent pretties I've found! Enjoy + Happy Monday!

J.Crew

I love these bold floral paintings by Alida Morgan.

Fashionable florals...love the nostalgic feel they bring to an outfit.

Create table vignettes by incorporating fresh cut or store bought blooms. The display ideas are endless... Use buckets, multiple vases, vintage or new bottles, tins, mercury glass, glasses. etc.

Friday - This week's finds..Where are you Spring?

Make a statement piece - J.Crew
I am sooo ready for Spring! And why do I live in Boston?? for the Summer I guess..
I'll have to start saving my pennies for a dreamy beach bungalow down South, but in the meantime I'll have to rely on pretty imagery! Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for all your great comments! I truly appreciate each and every one of my readers!!

I stumbled upon these gorgeous photographs this week, see more of the artist's work on Peonies and Polaroids via Etsy. The artist also writes a daily blog, Peonies and Polaroids. Peonies are one of my favorites, I was so bummed when I could have them at my wedding in August. {note: I couldn't locate the artist's name on her site?}

Love this showhouse consisting of a clean, modern white + pink scheme {need I say more?} Collage and interior design by Suzanne Kasler; found image via Pink Wallpaper
